We spoke about Faith Ringgold who makes painted quilts with stories written around them
She'll be in Milwaukee May 15
Ann brought show & tell hankies from her Garage Sale Adventures.
She's offered to pick up things she finds for people (most @ $ 1 a piece)
so here's the start of a list ( if any one else sees these you can get them also)
Leslee - colored hankies- torn or spotted is OK
Sherri - unfinished cross stitch or needlepoint - esp on linen (BUT no ducks or
geese or baby stuff or big stiff DMC cloth)
Anyone else have desires?
Sherri also is collecting the paper wrappers that come around embroidery skeins- bring them if you have any.
Maureen recommended Carrots and Beets ( Juice is good) to clear anesthesia out of your cells ( it stays in for 48 hours)
The computer printable iron on fabric I use for the back stories is from Avery #3384 Printable Fabric Printable cotton Iron on. It's fairly coarse and stiff with the Iron on stuff on it.
Erin has a wonderful CSA farm ( the CSA is full but they also do great pickles and jams at the end of the season you can get on the list for them) see
Also there's a Currant Events - fruit festival July 12
They had delicious fresh current scones at a planting workshop last week
