Cynthia Quinn - Eulogy of Snippets

Eulogy of Snippets
Cynthia Quinn

Materials: Vintage lace tablecloth, linen and organdy, bits and pieces from my and Terry's stash,
life affirming poems

Terry Lichtenfelt joined the Memory Cloth Circle meetings during our Pizza di Roma days after moving from Indiana to Madison. In typical Terry fashion, she also participated with several community stitching groups to connect with others who shared her passion for quilting. She endeared herself to us in short order. An accomplished quilter, she brought expertise of many kinds to our group and was generous and sharing. She was a resource for fabrics, techniques, moral support and a sense of humor. It was easy to love her.

She cared deeply about the natural world, animals and life's experiences. She would take regular trips and then come back to enthusiastically share with us what she had witnessed. Terry had a zest for life that was contagious. She took very good care of herself physically and mentally. At first, none of us could believe her diagnosis of pancreatic cancer. She put up a heroic fight for months.

I am so grateful to have known her. There is grief and sadness that her time with us and her family was shortened.

She was a gift to our circle. Lessons learned. A Life appreciated. Terry's spirit will spread among us.
